Run these in a terminal on macOS or Linux. On Windows, run them inside WSL2.

1. Install

Puts one file, orchestra, in ~/.orchestra/bin. No sudo, nothing sent. Next: open a new terminal window so orchestra is on your PATH.

2. Sign in

Opens your browser. Sign in and choose your workspace. Next: the terminal says who you are signed in as.

3. Turn it on in a repository

Saves agent sessions in this repository and its worktrees from now on: Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor and OpenCode. Sessions in any other folder are never read or sent. Run it again in each repository you want saved. Next: a table of the agents it found, and a line naming the repository it saves. enable follows sessions from now on. In a terminal it also offers to bring in this repository’s earlier sessions; step 4 covers the rest.

4. Bring in earlier sessions

Shows what is here and sends nothing. Then it says what it would send, including what summarizing them costs, and asks before it does. Next: answer yes or no. It works in the background.

5. Open Orchestra

Opens the terminal client: your workspace’s sessions, live first. Next: press Enter to start a session (ctrl+p first makes it private).

What leaves your machine

Only transcripts of agent sessions in repositories where you ran orchestra enable. Secrets are removed on your machine first. Details, and how to turn it off: Install the CLI. If something seems off, run orchestra doctor.
